You will start to see a lot more video incorporated in each of my posts which is awesome for showcasing my personality a lot more. As this is a new platform for me I am going to need all your support so please Subscribe on Youtube and like the videos as this helps me out by making the videos more relevant on the Youtube site.
Hey Guys! Just wanted to check in and give you a bit of a life update as you may have seen that posts here on Style Crave have been a little bit slower than usual and thats with good reason. Blogging full time as well as maintaing my freelance responsibilities always keeps me busy however last month life decided to test me. On a casual sunday afternoon I was en route to get my iPhone screen fixed as I had dropped it at a concert the night before and it had shattered the screen. As I was looking for the cell phone repair place I accidentally turned into the wrong shopping center and when I went to exit my car was slammed into by a commercial vehicle that was driving in reverse and didn’t see me pull up behind him. As you could imagine a truck going full speed backwards in your direction is quite scary. At first I thought it was just body damage however I later learned that my car would be a total loss due to the internal damage the crash had caused. Between dealing with a total loss caused by a commercial vehicle, moving into a bigger place, prepping to take a trip to vegas, launching a Youtube channel on top of my day to day responsibilities has been quite the undertaking. With all that being said I was able to purchase a new car and am just days away from closing on my new place and taking my trip. I promise outfit posts will be back to normal starting this week since things are getting back to normal. During this time I have created a lot of awesome content for you guys I just haven’t had the time and energy to get it up and make sure my posting was of quality. As always I will make sure I give the absolute best and never cut corners here at Style Crave.
It’s no secret that the average consumer is becoming more aware of the products they use in their lives wether it be the food they consume, the formulas they clean their homes with and even the products they use on their face and body. After all, the harmful filler chemicals in your average 99 cent bar of soap do flow into your blood stream and are proven to have long term effects not only on your skin but overall health. With the surge of natural beauty comes the celebration of awesome brands like Hey Honey that are literally founded on using natural ingredients along with scientific ingredients for proven benefits on all skin types. Honey has many health benefits and often used orally for illness’ like colds and sore throats. Honey has been found to have antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties as well as having potent moisture retention. For todays post I’m going to be sharing a few of my favorite honey infused products you can incorporate into your spring-summer skin care routine.
No basic skincare routine is complete without a moisturizer to lock in moisture and fight off environmental damage. Kiehl’s recently released their Pure Vitality Skin Renewing Cream with Red Ginsing and Manuka Honey to benefit dry and normal skintypes. Revitalizing Korean red ginseng root accelerates cell renewal for a vibrant glow, while fortifying New Zealand Manuka honey infuses skin’s barrier layers with the supple strength to smooth creases and fine lines. I love that the Pure Vitality is a hybrid of a gel and cream texture and leaves skin soft and supple however I did not see much luminous glow but rather overall clarity. For a more glowing complexion try out the Kiehl’s day oil. However, I only recommend this day oil for dry to extremely dry skin types during the cooler and mild months.
One of my favorite ways to speed up my weekly exfoliating routine is to just squeeze a drop of exfoliant into my cleanser, so when I saw that Hey Honey had actually made a product that sped up this process for me I was so excited to try it. The Come Clean Facial Scrub is by far a stand out product from the line as it is gentle and smooth yet strong enough to wipe out dead skin cells leaving behind a glowing complexion. The first ingredient in the Come Clean Facial Scrub is actually sea salt, so I can confirm there is no shortage of the abrasion I love. If you have sensitive or acne prone skin don’t be scare of that abrasion as the sea salt quickly dissolves on the skin once water is applied. Infused with Hey Honey’ signature honey and propolis as well as Salicylic Acid and Hydrogenated Castor Oil this bad boy is a must have for all skin types. Pro Tip: Apply the product on most problematic dry areas (nose and forehead for me) and use as a treatment for two minutes. This allows the key ingredients to identify the dry patches making it effortless to scrub away once you start applying water.
All of our Style Crave readers with problematic, acne prone and with rosacea flair ups will love the 911 Pro Gel from Hey Honey. This soothing relief gel contains a concentrated amount of Propolis gel as well as purifying herbal components that help to repair and moisturize skin damage. Propolis will quickly cool, soothe, calm and purify the skin. Not only is is great for the face you can also apply it as a treatment on the body for acne, blemishes, burns, and any other skin irritations. Leave the serum on clean skin for 15 minutes then wipe away. Along with Hey honey signature propolis formula look for super star ingredients like witch hazel and honey suckle.
