After a successful sold out event in 2016 Dallas’ biggest independent fashion show topped its self with an all new line up and sensory experience for ticket holders. The Pin Show has proven its self as a leader in parterning fashion, music and technology bringing a fresh concept to Dallas typically only found on this scale in N.Y.C. The Bomb Factory was a packed house once again to celebrate and recognize some of Texas’ top talent. The Pin Show is an annual event that provides a platform for both emerging and established designers, mostly from the South West Region, and musical talent that aims to create an experience unlike anything before it. The creative team at The Pin Show brings together a show that provides the audience with the latest designs from designers you know and those you will discover, in every aspect of fashion. Whether you come for the street wear, evening looks, bridal or the swimwear, you are immersed in over 160 walks from more than 22 designers to the fast paced musical performances of Zhora and Friends. This year The Pin Show launched an elevated platform to answer the call of an increasing Established Designer base in our area to include more creative input from the established designers, a larger light, sound, and structure installation by BBD Revolving, a more influential musical set with Zhora and Friends, and a ground floor marketplace where attendees were anxiously lined up all night to see some of the collections up close and personal.
While Style-Crave was there to support and cover the fashion that was center stage throughout the evening I couldn’t help but notice how diverse and inclusive The Pin Show was. From the runway to the back row on the second floor it was a melting pot of cultures and body types. All too often the fashion community is painted as an exclusive and elite circle that the general public and young designers can only dream of tapping into yet The Pin Show celebrates what makes each of us beautiful and unique while welcoming all walks of life. This message is one that rang loud through the Bomb Factory rafters and not because The Pin Show team talked that talk, it was simply because they walked that walk. This year The Pin Show proved its self as the North Texas authority in the coalition of Fashion, Music, Technology and multi cultural recognition, an experience we count as a win for North Texas.
