Last month we were scheduled to hit NYC by storm to cover NYFW, unfortunately due to the blizzard that beat us there our flights were canceled and ultimately we decided to take the season off last minute. With the opportunity to cover shows at NYFW comes the opportunity to push the style and look to an elevated and more daring level. While I often have fun mixing textures and pushing what mens style can be I know that NYC is the perfect place to experiment further. Todays look was originally meant for the streets of NYFW however I thought it was too unique to sit in my closet for another year and decided to go ahead and shoot it and share now.
While this look is a bit forward its easy and impactful. A simple black look doesn’t have to be boring or tired. This look is all about texture and creating an interesting sihouette. A black poncho cape mixed with a standard chambray shirt give this look a boho approach which is why I thought it paired excellent back to the Icelandic Mongolian lapel that sits over the shoulders. Pairing it back to a wide brim hat with metal details further pushes the look. While shooting this look on the streets of Downtown Dallas I got so much fun feedback and I’d love to know what you think of this daring look. Let me know on Instagram @ChristianCraven
