WOW! I don’t even know how to start this post. This year has been overwhelming and life changing. Besides finally being 21 this year, I achieved a lot of blog goals I have had and I’m so appreciative of you for being a part of it. As a small town kid from Oklahoma I see life in a beautiful way and everything is new for me. I’m so appreciative for every thing that has come my way and if I was forced to close down my blog tomorrow, I would knowing that I had a great run…….but I’m not going anywhere!
This year was an outstanding year because I had already layed down the ground work my first year and got to experience insane things this time around. From interviewing Zac Posen, hosting a Blogging 101 seminar, covering a Charli XCX show for Atlantic Records, having brunch with Michael Costello, hanging with Nicky Hilton, a blog makeover and tons of outfit posts, this year defiantly had its fair share of pinch myself moments. Again, none of this would be happening if you guys didn’t come back. I’m so appericative of you and your love. When I started this blog two years ago It was never to meet celebrities or get free clothes, which is probably why I’m still kicking today. I started this blog for two reasons only, I wanted to inspire young gay people all across the country and I wanted to fill a much needed niche in the fashion blogging world. On a random day this year I was walking my local mall and was recognized in H&M, this young reader told me he loved my style and thought I was so funny which helped him put himself out there. This is the exact reason I’m doing this and that moment solidified why I’m here. Even though he may have not realized it (Aye boo, if you’re reading this). As I take a deep breathe to move into a new year I face a lot of challenges both personal and professionally but I’m confidant I will be able to jump all hurdles that come my way. New York Fashion Week, a splash with some solo music and of course more outfits are just the beginning. The biggest lesson I learned this year was that you don’t get what you don’t ask for and I’v haven’t seen it fail yet. If you want it, go get it and please Never give up on yourself. You’re valid. Thank you so much for being a part of my journey! and a huge special thank you to all those people who helped me along the way this year. I will owe you for life.
