I always love to look at the moment’s were going to remember 10 years from now! 2013 was quite a year, from twearking to tea time it was year with moments to be rememebered.
The world shook when Karl Lagerfeld teased us in Jan of 2012 that he would love to do a show in Dallas, and almost a year later, it happened. Dec 10th, in Dallas TX, Chanel came to Dallas for their first show in america. It was recognized world wide, and an AMAZING time to be in Dallas. I hope I’m alive to see Chanel come to Dallas again!
2012 was an AMAZING year for film, so it was undoubtedly thrilling oscar awards. This year not one but two women of young Hollywood took home oscars. Anne Hathaway, for her role in the movie musical adaptation of “Les Miserables”, and Jennifer Lawrence for “Silver linings Playbook” Both Outstanding films!
Four years ago Warner Brothers announced they were working on a live adaption of the “The Great Gatspy”, the world gasped, as if they were reading Myrtle Wilson’s death all over again. After months of getting pushed back for edits, and re shoots “The Great Gatsby” hit theaters May 10th, and maintained its #1 spot at the theatre for 6 weeks. I have to admit I was never really into the world of Gatsby, however when I was dragged to the theatre by my loving partner, I was in complete awe. Looking back at all the “Spring Breakers”,”Croods”, & “OZ” movies I sat through this year…this one gets my 2013 favorite film award!
She’s done it again ladies and gentlemen. If you did not pick up Katy Perry’s long awaited, highly anticipated album “Prism” you are missing out honey. Iv said it, and ill say it again…KATY PERRY IS THE VOICE OF OUR GENERATION. She’s a normal girl that can SING, doesn’t rely on cooky gimmicks and pours her heart into her lyrics. We even made eye contact once. I can assure you we will be hearing singles from “Prism” for the next two year. Highlights include “Legendary Lovers”,”This Moment”, “By The Grace Of God”, & “It Takes Two”…..”Made to fit, like a code that clicks, open a goldmine”
Im gonna be real with y’all…..I DONT READ. I read Magazines, Blogs, Text books, and Facebook updates, but when I came across this book “Cheap Chica’s Guide To Style” I couldn’t put it down! If Confessions of a shopaholic and Suze Orman had a baby…it would be this book. This book was not only a fun read, but informative! If you are that petite girl that doesn’t know where to shop, this is for you, if you are the penny pincher but love nice things, this is for you, if you need financial advice written in fashion terms, this. is. for. you! LOVE THIS BOOK!
I always have loved Lilo, and I ALWAYS WILL. In the first of two Oprah projects Lindsay Lohan has been working on (part two to come in 2013, and will surely land 2014 favorites). Iv never seen Lilo look so healthy and be (what seems) so honest. She’s putting out the fires, and taking great advice from mama O. Cheers to 2014 Lindsay
I won’t lie to you….i’m totally an American Horror Story band wagon fan. I wasn’t here for Season 1, or 2. Yeah I said it. BAND WAGON. Regardless, I’m obsessed with this show now. Ryan Murphy has proven it yet again (not that I was in doubt) he is a GENIUS. The primary theme of the season is oppression; specifically, the oppression of marginalized groups. Other themes include witchcraft, Voodoo, racism, and family, The season is set primarily in a modern day coven and includes flashbacks to the 1830s. Starring Jessica Lang, Kathy Bates, Angela Basset, Emma Roberts just to name a few. Wed / on FX
Favorite Tour of the year goes to SELENA GOMEZ, I went to a lot of shows this year, Robin Thicke, John Legend, Tamar Braxton, Maroon 5, Kelly Clarkson, Ariana Grande, and Keith Urban just to name a few. However it was Selena that gave the full experience. Besides having the song of the summer, she had the only tour out this year that gave a full pop experience 100% with visuals, vocals, and presence. I was actually lucky enough to see her twice this year. I love just love our Dallas girl!
Cant wait to kick off an amazing 2014!!
